THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH
FAITH AND HOW IT WORKS
JESUS MARVELLED PT. 1
2 Corinthians 4:13King James Version
13. We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak
The Spirit of Faith has two ingredients.1. Believe
2. Speak
Your voice is necessary. You must keep your speaker (voice) connected to your believer.
Many keep their voice connected to their Feelings.
Or connected to their Kin Folks opinion.
Or connected to their circumstances.
Or the traditions of men.
Or to the doctrines of churches
Matthew 19:26
But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

2 Corinthians 1:20King James Version (KJV)
20. For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

Mark 11:22-24King James Version (KJV)
22 . And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Verse 22 Jesus said," Have faith in God."
And in verse 23 Jesus tells how Faith works. He could have said you figure it out. Said nothing. Or I’m not going to tell you how faith works. No Jesus told them and us exactly how faith works.
Verse 23 explains how faith works. 1. Whosoever shall say 2. Doubt not in his heart
3. Believe those things 4. Which he saith 5. Shall have whatsoever he saith
God has ordained that the Just shall live by faith. God is no respecter of persons. That means you get no special Deals. We do not get anything from God by going to church every Sunday, by doing good deeds, by your status in life, or if you have more things to do, but rather God is only moved by Faith. God does not work on brownie points, only Faith.
I was listening to a guy talk about his Family. He had several grown kids with families of their own. Now this man and wife had a home with a swimming pool. He had one rule. When the Grand kids were 1 ½ to 2 years old they were to learn to swim and he would pay for the lessons. One day one of the son’s and his family were over and their youngest son was about 2 years old. The man ask can young Joey swim? Oh yes he can was the reply. Show grand pa you can swim Joey. Joey jumped in and splashing around saying I swim I swim. The man noticed it was all in the shallow end of the pool. So he reached down grabbing Joey tossed him into the deep end. Joey sank like a rock. The man told his son you better jump in and get him he can’t swim. The son said you could have drown him. No said the man I just saved him. He is going to learn how to swim. I won’t always be here to save him and neither will you he must learn to swim so he will be safe around the pool.
That is the way many Christians are concerning Faith. Jumping around in the shallows thinking they know faith jumping around with their feet touching bottom. Let them get out a little into the deep and they start to sink. Someone must reach out and save them. They did not really understand faith and how it works. Many will blame God and think He is against them, however God is not the problem, they are the problem.
Just as Joey must learn to swim in order to be safe around a swimming pool, we must learn what faith is and how it works in order to be safe in this world. Safe from the curse of the law ( sickness, poverty, and all forms of lack) God is never our problem.

 Jeremiah 29:11King James Version
11. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
God never has evil for us.
God has designed that we live by faith.

Hebrews 11:6King James Version
6. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

2 times in the bible Jesus Marvelled. That is He was in wonder and amazement. One of those times was recorded in Mark 6:1-6

Mark 6:1-7

King James Version (KJV)
6 And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him.
2 And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
4 But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.
Jesus is not so impressed with your title or your reputation as he is with your believing and your speaking.
Many people think God is going to do what he wants and what you think doesn’t matter. What you believe and what you speak matters.
Jesus marvelled at their unbelief. There is a cure for unbelief it is curable. Jesus started to administer the cure in verse 6. He went about teaching.
Jesus taught. There would be no need to teach if Jesus was going to do what he wanted and you had no part in it. Jesus would have just showed up and said gather around boys this is what I’m going to do up in here today.
He taught the Word. God sent his word and healed them and faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
We must be taught. Our faith can only go as far as our knowledge.
Believing Knowledge plus speaking equals results.
If you are not happy with what you have in life you better check what you have been saying. We have been framing our world with our words. If we do not like what we have then we must change our words and give voice to the world we want.
2 Peter 1:1-3King James Version

1. Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
2. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3. According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Once we get Knowledge of God we can speak it out and obtain all things that pertain to life and godliness.
Jesus Marvelled at their unbelief. Doubt
There are 2 kinds of unbelief.
1. Ignorance
2. Unpersuaded to act
Many believe what they see over the Word of God. We should believe the Word of God over what we see.
2 Corinthians 5:7King James Version
7. (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
Faith acts like the Word of God is true, and won’t take anything less.
What you see is fact. The Word is truth. Truth trumps Fact. Say sickness has gotten hold of you and you see in the Word that by Jesus stripes you were healed. You speak that word out and tell sickness Jesus took you out of the way and you must go. Make your stand and from that moment on every time you feel, see, taste, hear, or smell anything different you must speak to it and remind it that it has to depart because Jesus took care of it. Faith moves God, faith moves mountains, but faith won’t move anything until faith moves your mouth.
The initial act of faith is to move your mouth.

Romans 10:8-10King James Version
8. But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
YOUR MOUTH BUILDS THE ROAD THAT YOUR FAITH CARRIES IT’S MIGHTY CARGO OVER

IN PART 2 WE WILL LOOK AT THE SECOND TIME JESUS MARVELLED
.
